I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee specializing in early childhood education and institutional equity. My teaching, research, and consulting work center on transforming educational systems through social justice-driven, culturally sustaining pedagogies and anti-racist policy development.
My scholarship examines institutional inequities, systemic oppression, and imbalanced social power in education, with a focus on early childhood settings. I have authored numerous articles and book chapters that explore the ways in which policy, curriculum, and institutional structures shape the experiences of diverse children, families, and educators. In addition to my academic work, I collaborate with schools, organizations, and policymakers to design and evaluate equity-driven institutional strategies. My work is deeply committed to amplifying the narratives of Black women and other marginalized groups who stand at the intersection of race, gender, and social identity while caring for and educating children. I am available for keynote speaking, consulting, and program evaluation to support organizations in building equitable, inclusive, and justice-centered educational systems. |
